Kathmandu. 223 people, including foreign citizens, have donated blood in the blood donation organized on the occasion of Sakadhava and Buddha Jayanti.

223 people, including foreign citizens, donated blood during the blood donation organized at the Buddhist Stupa located in Ward No. 6 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City under Khudkilo Nepal project.

Khudkilo Nepal’s project, Tara Sampang Rai, the president of Khudkilo Nepal, informed that the technical support of the blood donation program, which was organized in collaboration with Sri Boudh Nath Area Development Committee, was from Kantipur Raktasanchar. According to him, Khudkilo Nepal has been organizing blood donation to meet the blood shortage.

Khudkilo Nepal has been organizing blood donation in various places and prisons of the country. On the occasion of Sakadhava and Buddha Jayanti, the blood donation participants said that when they donated blood at the Buddhist Stupa itself, they felt a greater religion than whipping.

Tourists from various countries including Nepal, India, China, Bhutan, Taiwan, UK participated in blood donation. Khudkilo Nepal has informed that more than 60 percent donated blood for the first time.
